Abstract
A cross-sectional analytical and descriptive study was conducted with the aim to assess the level of awareness of pharmacy students of Cheikh Anta DIOP University at the end of their pharmaceutical cycle, to substandard and falsified medical products issue. Using the electronic tool Google Forms, 143 students participated in the survey. Data analysis was performed using Excel 2013 and Epi Info 7.2.6.0 tools. The results obtained showed that the majority of students (67.8%) had a good level of knowledge about the issue. However, a need for more knowledge was noted. The results also showed the noticeable improvement in students' knowledge level thanks to a new module on the issue which was introduced in the third year of the pharmacy student’s curriculum in 2021 when compared to those who did not follow the module.
